V. 2. / 94.) Mirror, Mirror On The Wall . . .

‘Mirror, mirror on the wall
Who is the fairest of us all?’

When she shared her pearls, that
Had cost her all she had: her life
They loved them much, but must
For their own skin’s sake, steal them
Or, put them down – not a split
Second’s look in the secret mirror
Within them, would they brave,
To show them their own reality;
But they blinded themselves
Thinking themselves beautiful
And didn’t see – but wrote and
Sent her their lovely comments
That only pierced and stung her more
And took away her thorny crown
Hating her without a cause.
