Vol. 2. / 89.) On A Road In A Wilderness . . .

Happy, I am set on a road in a wilderness
Walking through a promise after rain
And, here, well before the day would draw
Towards its close – is the light –
Behind the gentle mist – and its penetrating
Through – splitting into all its parts
And in seven colours in an arch:
And there it is in me – the passion to give!
To give of all the substance of the joy of love!
Inspiring towards a greater good – having
As it were, the wherewithal to give of it
All its myriad shining drops of dew – and
Airborne, these – caught aloft in sunlight
To colour and to water the world’s early
Evening thirst, and allay its fears.
