78.) Wondering And Thinking Along A Line I Knew . . .

Wondering and thinking along a line I knew
The eyes of my heart awoke, anew, and I saw:
That if one span of time was as a bird that flies
Then the span of its wings my promise of flight
Throughout it - and my assurance of a lift
To my step, and a lightness to the spirit within me
If I only believed – in the germ of my new idea
Watering the seed with faith, that it would grow
And work within me its own sweet magic.
If then my time, in this day, could be spent in
Flying – that was not always the same, either!
The bird rises, and soars, it dips and twists and
Turns with ease upon a warm thermal’s breeze:
And I, too, may do likewise, and in my life
Find within me the ability to rest my mind
And with my thoughts, dip to surrender them
Twist to accept the hardest parts of them, and
Turned, turn, to find a promise of inner ease
And the meeting within which brings such joy!
And if, from place to place in my span of time
I should, like a bird, alight upon a 'sea,' or 'cliff'
I'll new perspectives see - from different levels.
