The exterior ---
Truth was in what it contained:
Life was caught not taught.
There were the explainings:
A necessary ‘evil’
And there was the thing itself:
An unexpected delight;
But always the thing itself
Excelled above its explanation
The straightforward was easy
But easy is not always best
