V. 2. / 148.) Through Fire Did He Take Us To Himself . . .

Through fire did he take us to himself
The immersion within the dark complete
While the world walked on unseeing
Watching the play not the real thing

Those who knew, knew not the tearing
Till the peeling of the layers was done
Their knowledge ensnares their mind
For knowing losing the way to know

Never seeing till the flood took them
Drowning them in their own pleasures
Only those who dare die daily for life
Not saving our own lives we save it

And the third were sifted and taken
And the last was slain the only one
And no one knew her save he alone
The only one of her who bore her
