'As if the Sea should part
And show a further Sea---'
- Emily Dickinson
- Emily Dickinson
It was as though the mystic beauty of even the natural realm
that
we were so enamoured of... had parted...
and
we were given a glimpse of what was beyond...
a
'knowing' of a far deeper realm of beauty...
terrifying...infinitely
lovely...
because
it was love.
But I saw the marvel was in the parting...
coming...in
being dividing asunder...in my own midst...
that there was the road looked for
but
never been seen...until the piercing within.
It was there the seeing came
revealing
the two edges of the sea...
and...the
pathway...that was between...
and
along it, through it...
to
the vision of what was beyond . . .
and
beyond a red sea.
